Poison

This is a poison you put in your body
This is the lie you lay yourself to sleep with
This is the pain you never knew existed
This is everything you never wanted, and more than you'll ever know
- and everything you've always had

So I'll continue to pen these words
And ignore the fact Im always wrong, here and forever.
And I've read the truth and prayed for more
But I'll slip and fall and die some more
Praying this day won't be the day I end
And if this ends as I have chosen
I picked this story and read my lines
Unfortunately I didn't stay in the lines and have the scars to show
So if I make it out aline, forgive me now,
Hate me late, and please
Love me in the end.

The serenity to not be this menace
A menace to myself, and a menace to society.
